March Holiday Activities 2019 – What to do?

Starting this Saturday till next Sunday is the March School Holidays (16 – 24 March 2019). The very first break for students in 2019. We put together 6 enriching/fun activities that students may be interested in trying out in the short break.

Before starting on our list, a word of forewarning.

It may be just 1 week of holiday but school teachers may have given out homework to be done. So if there is any work to be done, remember to complete them and avoid doing it last minute! It may be considered a hassle but completing your homework but it helps to give you an ease of mind before trying out other activities in the short week. And don’t forget to do some revision of concepts that were previously taught as well. A few hours of revision each day before going out for other activities.

Pick up some books at the national libraries closest to you and read. Nlb has provided some recommended readings on their website according to the languages as well as lower/upper secondary. You may want to take a look at their recommended books before heading down to the library.

One of the best places that you may want to spend an idle afternoon is at Harbourfront library which is the latest addition to the different NLBs in Singapore and is also currently the biggest mall library.

Gallery Hopping

Flash your NRIC for free access to certain galleries/exhibits at Asian Civilisation Museum & National Gallery. Their current galleries include displays of ancient religions and information for Singapore’s history. So take this time to browse through and appreciate the past that is put on display in present times.
